shh…i think it stopped raining…for a while

the precipitation predictions are down to a mere 20% , though it’s rather chilly…we’re keeping a fire going at night, which is unusual for may 4.   but look what’s jumping out and up in the garden:

wisteria

leftover gerbera daisies, chive, and mint

plucky pansies that overwintered in the shed

everlastings

i did manage to buy some tomatoes—2 better boys, 2 romas, and 2 sweet cherry 100’s–as well as 4 eggplant and 3 bell peppers.  they’re on my dining room table along with some basil and squash that i started from seed (may or maynot make it).

with the lows in the low 40’s and the soil muddy, it will be a while before i can plant….but sooner now than yesterday…
