the veggies are in…

our local ag agent sent out a hort alert the other day that said it was okay to put out the tomatoes without worry of frost and that was all i needed to hear.  2 better boys, 2 romas, 2 husky cherries;  6 california wonder bell peppers;  2 zucchini, 1 straight-neck yellow squash;  1 eggplant; 2 sweet basil.  compost and manure.  the center herb garden was already going strong with anise hyssop, rosemary, chive, nasturtium, chamomile, purple and bouquet basil, purple sage, and french tarragon around the autumn surprise clematis.   it felt like i was planting in july with temps in the 80’s and humidity mingling with my sweat (i’m a prolific perspirer), but now it’s cooled and rained.

oh, the pots have the oregano and marjoram that had taken over one of the beds, lemon balm (melissa) from the trellis garden, chocolate mint that’s been in that same container forever, white sage that’s barely getting going, and cilantro.

let it grow, let it grow, let it grow…
